Program Director Andrea Arnold MS Ed 

In 2005 Andrea (Andi) took over ownership of LIFESAVING ENTERPRISES LLC with many instructorships for national safety organizations. My instructors and I take great pride in providing practical education, with effective hands-on training in all aspects of First Aid, CPR along with the use and application of AED machines, sports safety and lifeguard training. Lifesaving Enterprises is a regional company that gives personalized attention to the training needs of our clients. We are a specialty company able to do large work.

"I have a Masters Degree in Education but I know my safety training began as an adolescent. My first badges of achievement were for First Aid and Child Care with the Girl Guide organization in England, just the beginning of an armful of awards, all the way to a Queen's Guide award! Years of travel later, and rewarding experience as a nanny, camp counselor, crafts director, lifeguard, waterfront director, personal trainer and as a school teacher. I am a Verified Specialty Trainer NYS for the Association for the Education of Young Children and I take extreme pride in continuing my education, owning this company and providing lifesaving training.

We are grateful everyday that our clients have rarely had to use any of the skills for which they have been trained. Our goal in teaching is that prevention is key, but preparation for emergencies is vital. Training makes the difference and we look forward to training with you."

History and Founders

Lifesaving Enterprises was established in 1989, by Michael Messenger and Miles Gordon. Michael spent his summers Lifeguarding at Rockaway Beach, NY and Miles taught swimming for Manhattan schools. They were inspired to create a company to provide quality swimming instruction and lifeguard training, with CPR, and First Aid, for professionals and for community organizations.
